Named after Elsa the lioness made famous by George and Joy Adamson's biographical book and film Born Free Elsa's Kopje is within the Meru National Park which incorporates an 84km² Rhino Santuary, home to over 70 white and black rhino's in their natural habitat. It also offers avid bird lovers with over 450 species recorded in the park. The lodge is beautifully designed with elegant antiques and historical charm an ideal location to view a few of the rarer wildlife species specific to northern Kenya such as the Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, Somali ostrich and Besia Oryx.
